"Nuggets" produced her first foal for us in 1999, an awesome palomino overo colt we named Gotta Wear Gold, who can be seen on our Foal Scrapbook page. We have been showing him this past year, and he has been doing great ! For the year 2000, she produced a loud palomino overo filly, Gotta Wear Diamonds, who is for sale, and can be seen on our Sale page.
Nuggets is a granddaughter of Diamond Eyes, APHA, a palomino overo stallion, and traces back to the renowned Mister J Bar on both her top & bottom. With 7 generations of palomino behind her, we feel that Nuggets is capable of being a consistent palomino producer when crossed on Shades' rich chestnut coloring.

Kenos Riverdance, a cremello tobiano stallion, for a 2002 foal. The pattern may be a tossup, but the colors (Palomino, smoky black, grulla, buckskin and dun) will certainly be gorgeous! I am hoping for a Tovero of course!"Mocha" is our 1st daughter out of our 1st foal crop from Shades. Mocha won numerous awards, while she was our top show baby. Her dam, "Chako" is a black breeding stock mare, and was our top broodmare, until we met a lady who begged me to sell her. "Crystal" was born & raised at the Cactus Rose Ranch, and is our first paint foal to be born at Cactus Rose Ranch, after we relocated from the Santa Clarita area. Crystal is sired by our original stallion, Jusda Lota Reed, whom we lost in late 1993, prior to Crystal's birth. She shares the same dam as Mocha, making her a half sister. She produced an outstanding colt her first breeding year, who is now living in Texas. Named Justa Shade Tuffer, he can be seen on our Foal Scrapbook page and also on a separate link from our "Family" Page. Crystal has been bred back to Shades this year for a 2002 foal.

"Blaze" is a daughter from Shades 2nd foal crop and was the first foal born to sport Shades' frame overo pattern. She was born 13 days early, and fooled us all by arriving on April Fools Day! She was Mocha's showing partner for a few years, and has as many awards as Mocha to show for it! Her owner is preparing her for a career in barrel racing in the near future.

After foaling late in 1999, Sugar was laid off a year and then rebred to Shades, and has just foaled a gorgeous bay/brown overo filly, Cindy.
